Beth Eldridge has always had a passion for animals. Since she was a little girl, she would
spend countless hours watching and interacting with all kinds of animals including, frogs, turtles, chipmunks, rabbits, mice,
lizards, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, goats, horses, numerous dogs, cats, fish, and even snakes. Her knowledge of
animal behavior has become her main asset in predicting what an animal will do in many situations, helping her to catch the
right moment to snap the shutter. She has participated in dog & horse shows as a competitor and has the knowledge
of how an animal should be groomed, posed, and handled for a winning look. This knowledge gives her the edge over "people"
photographers and photographing pets has always come naturally for her. Beth
is a graduate of New York Institute of Photography and holds the prestigious Master of Photography Degree from the Professional
Photographers of America. She is a member of the Georgia Professional Phtographers Association. Many of her prints
have won awards and have been published. She has taught seminars amongst both her peers and beginning students of photography.
She was a CCHI Certified horseback riding instructor for 7 years and a 4-H advisor for 4 years. She and her daughter
co-owned Dixie Doxie Kennel where they bred AKC Miniature Dachshunds in Ozark, Alabama. She
was the owner of Pet Pic's by Beth Tobias, and Beth Tobias Studio in Orrville Ohio until 2003. She now lives in the country
with her husband Jerry, her daughter's horse Lacey, 2 goats Boo Boo & LuLu, and her beloved German Shepherd dogs Zander
& Clea.
